Senior accounting associate i, mobile engineering – westmont, il, remote
As part of the global finance operations team, we are currently seeking a senior accounting associate i responsible for reviewing financial transactions, over-seeing month-end close, and supporting various stakeholders and team members in a high volume, multi-system, energized environment on the mobile engineering finance teamThe senior accounting associate i must have great attention to detail, be able to solve complex problems, work independently, and communicate effectively.
What this job involves:
Responsibilities for the client-side transactional accounting work for mes in coordination with client account teams
Act as a resource to team and provide guidance on day-to-day questions and issues related to billing and accounts payable
Oversee month-end close process and ensure deadlines are met and financials are accurate
Review complex client & vendor invoices, accounting entries, and uploads
Oversee & review various monthly reports including ar commentary, unbilled, and corrigo backlog/disputes
Ensure corrigo billing rates are accurate and oversee annual rate escalations
Facilitate onboarding of new clients, review & interpret contract language, and oversee setup in multiple systems
Support account teams and finance counterparts with complex questions and provide details on entries
Support design and implementation of process improvements for billing, accounts payable, and pcard
Assist with staff onboarding & training
Assist with budgets and forecasts as needed
Assist with audit requests
Support any additional ad hoc requests

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
Advanced accounting and analytical skills
Excellent working knowledge of microsoft outlook, word, excel; peoplesoft 9.2 & corrigo knowledge a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs
Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic
Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners
Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
Understanding of and commitment to client services
A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
