What this job involves:
Being the backbone of construction projects
You’ll oversee all day-to-day construction-related projects onsite and make sure that all budget, risk, schedule, design, safety and quality management requirements are metAs the go-to person in all construction activities, you’ll help fix any issues that may arise—all while taking heed of clients’ expectations and the company’s proceduresYour task is to ensure all site contractors involved in the project are working on all counts and with telling effectAs needed, you will also cooperate with ldi and the client to monitor, review and resolve any site-related issuesUsing the jll atlas platform, you’ll set up site procedures to ensure the program, cost, design, safety and quality are alignedYou’ll also be responsible for holding internal and external construction meetings.
Planning successful outcomes
As a construction manager, a thoughtful deliverable strategy is your weaponYou’ll need to prepare a master construction schedule for site as well as client and trackingPart of regular checklist is to review all pending issues with the site team to steer clear of any communication gaps and develop action plans as soon as possibleYou’ll also conduct weekly site and report meetings with consultants, contractors and agencies to review the progress per agreed schedule and proactively follow up on all pending issuesLikewise, you’ll review the site’s progress payments to make sure claims from subcontractors reflect the actual progress.
Mastering technical management and communication
In this role, you’ll take the lead and track the progress of coordination drawings submitted by local design consultants, and to get a hold of and follow up drawings, details or clarifications, as neededYou’ll then need to review these drawings to make sure they’re foolproofYou’ll also manage the technical handover and the client’s sign off at the end of a projectEqually, you’ll review the work method statement from subcontractorsOn top of these, you’ll also review vos and make sure they’re valid; set up the site diary and record system; and other duties, as directed.
Clearing safety and quality hurdles
This role calls for a champion for safety and quality managementPart of your responsibilities is to review the rfp documentation from a constructability point of view, provide the work scope; make sure that you go over safe work method statements by janli; hold safety meetings on a weekly basis; take care of monthly health and safety reports; and make sure that the construction works match the client’s expectations.

Seasoned and credentialed
You have a degree in architectural, civil engineering, mep engineering, or related discipline or field, or a mix of formal education and work experience of more than five yearsExperience in construction site management is a mustYou should also have completed safety trainings and must have acquired construction estimation skills.
Highly technical and administrative
A strong understanding of all aspects of development management—including financial, appraisal, risk management, and negotiation, among others—is required for this roleDo you consider yourself a pro at planning projects, procedures and construction schedules? how familiar are you with ms project, ms excel and other scheduling software? you should also have the know-how of interpreting, coordinating and discussing construction drawingsAs construction manager, design contracts and commercial negotiations should already be second nature to youAlso indispensable in this role is your ability to sit in on market analyses and marketing processes.
An excellent communicator
To excel in this role, you should have a superb communication skills, which will be helpful to you in winning businesses with both international and domestic clientsYour great communication skills will also serve as a tool in inspiring your members and contractors; keeping healthy client relationships alive; making headways in promoting a culture of openness; and bringing on project success stories.
