Jefferson solutions, a well-respected government consulting company of the jefferson consulting group, woman-owned small business, is looking for several procurement analyst, design-build focus to support upcoming work with the forest serviceThis position will be virtual.
The passage of the great american outdoors act (gaoa) created a generational investment in america’s forests and rural areasJefferson consulting group is under contract with the u.sForest service to provide contracting and program management services in support of construction, supplies, and services gaoa awardsGiven the significant increase in construction contracting, jefferson and the forest service have a need for a procurement analyst with expertise in design-build procurements.

Responsibilities

Provide advice and guidance on construction and design-build contracting matters to program managers and staff in the field.
Review procurement documents and identify errors or omissions for correction by contracting and program office staff.
Draft a variety of acquisition-related documents, such as determinations and findings, justifications and approvals, deviations, claims, contracting officer`s final decisions, stop work orders, cure notices, termination notices, etc.
Research and respond to procurement-related questions posed by staff and provides specific guidance concerning contracting policies and procedures.
Analyze new policies and/or legislation to determine the extent of their influence upon agency procedures and guidance.
Participate in working groups and attend meetings to keep current of policy changes.
Remain abreast of new procurement-related tools and resources and communicating the availability of these to the acquisition workforce.
Evaluate, recommend, and draft contracting procedures, guidance, and controls.
Develop standard operating procedures to address new policies, policy changes, or identified areas for improvement.
Recommend the development of training and training programs for the acquisition workforce.
Conduct reviews of contracts or contract changes within predetermined categories based on dollar value, method of acquisition, and other factors.
Coordinate and draft responses to various external requests and inquiries related to audits, inspections, data calls, and freedom of information act (foia) requests.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
At least five years of construction contracting experience, and at least two years of design-build experience.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact with program and contracting officials.
Attention to detail, high standards of excellence and commitment to perform and execute all project activities successfully.
Advanced data analysis, data visualization, and data presentation skills using office 365 tool suite
Fac-c or dawia certification preferred.
