Technical project manager

We are growing our software delivery team, looking for a technical project manager who is a passionate self-starter, entrepreneurial in spirit, comfortable in managing software projects, and will be a key cog driving communication and project management within our team and out to our customers.
As a supply chain solutions company, we focus on solving complex business challenges through technologyOur projects range in size and scope, from turnkey scm software implementations and material handling automation projects, to more general software development support, and specific oracle e-business suite erp support, we have a wide array of projects and customer relationships established, while growing at a rapid pace.
An ideal candidate must demonstrate strong project management skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, and time managementIn addition, they must exhibit project ownership & accountability, as well as being able to communicate technical issues to our customers at a high-level.
Roles and responsibilities
Plan and coordinate all aspects of our software projects from initiation through delivery.
Ensure service delivery success and customer satisfaction through effective project management.
Manage project initiation activities, which include customers’ needs and goals, existing situations, and necessary contactsGain access to existing information as needed.
Develop, define, and execute project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
Assist in assigning resources for projects while defining and assigning major project roles.
Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members as needed to meet project goals, and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget, and up to quality standards for the project scope.
Assign and monitor work of project team, providing technical and analytical support and direction.
Interface with customers on technical matters as needed.
Manage project risks, issues, and progress to ensure project goals are achieved.
Assist with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.
Conduct project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation, and ongoing activities, including a post-implementation review to identify areas of improvement.
Identify project management coordination process gaps or areas for improvementRecommends and implements solutions.
Utilize inyxa support portal to maintain updated project information.
Develop customer relationships and aids in identifying additional sales opportunities.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a project manager managing software implementations
Strong ability to independently manage highly complex, and high client visibility projects.
Knowledgeable of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines using agile methodologies
Knowledgeable of industry project management best practices
Knowledgeable of the company’s products and services.
Solid understanding of various types of it project methodologies and life cycles (e.g., conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, design, development, testing, and implementation) and the correct project application.
Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with custom software development, cloud applications, and supply chain applications
Experience with oracle e-business suite erp projects
Demonstrate ability to manage project budgets and timelines.
Must be adept with the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement when there are widely-differing viewpoints.
Effectively facilitate communication with executive level clients.
Able to consistently set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members.
Successfully maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature.
