Founded in 2007, initiate government solutions (igs) a woman owned small business, specializes in healthcare information solutions with an emphasis on technology spectrumIgs partners with government and commercial clients to tackle the most challenging healthcare information technology issues including large scale implementations, business informatics, analytics, and electronic health record support.

Igs is currently recruiting for the position of a full-time, remote, public health policy/health advisor to support our work with the hhs.

Assignment of work and travel:

This is a remote access assignmentCandidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access hhs systems and therein use approved hhs provided communications systemsTravel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.

Responsibilities and duties (included but limited to):

Providing program consultation, guidance, and assistance and is responsible for carrying out and promoting significant public health grants management and related activities in federal, local, state, settings with relative independence
Understand the program/client/policy needs and requirements in order to act as a trusted advisor to clients
Serve as client’s architect and expert for planning, communications, and implementation of program outreach initiatives
Analyze requirements and engage in a collaborative review with the client to affirm assumptions, timelines, and deliverables and manage outcomes based on project management and consulting best practices
Maintain awareness current policy and regulations and proactively identify downstream impacts and solutions
Draft and update policy and operational documentation including standard operating procedures (sops) and develop white papers and other documentation as needed
Developing and/or recommending strategies
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bs/ba degree in public health or related field
Knowledge and understanding of public health issues and trends
Policy development experience
Experience working with federal health agency leadership
Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in federal, state and local settings
Skill in oral and written communication, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials
Good organizational, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to obtain and maintain a current public trust

Preferred qualifications and core competencies:

Self-motivator with ability to work remotely as part of a team, or independently with little supervision or direction
Prior experience working on data analysis and statistical projects focused on behavioral health
