Full Job Description

Responsibility:

– Develop and oversee purchasing strategies and policies

– Research and identify new suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing

– Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely procurement of goods and services

– Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes

– Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry regulations, and relevant technology advancements

– Manage a team of purchasing professionals and provide guidance and support as needed

– Monitor and analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall efficiency

– Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards in all purchasing activities

– Maintain accurate and detailed records of all purchasing activities and expenditures

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (a master’s degree may be preferred for some positions)

– Several years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with demonstrated success in managing and optimizing procurement processes

– Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

– Analytical mindset and ability to interpret data and trends

– Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices

– Familiarity with procurement software and tools
