• The School IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the information technology infrastructure within the educational institution. This role involves overseeing the schools computer systems, networks, software applications, and providing technical support to students, teachers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management: Design, implement, and manage the schools computer networks.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
• Hardware and Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Conduct regular system updates and patches.
• Perform routine system backups and ensure data recovery processes are in place.
• User Support: Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff for hardware and software-related issues.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance users technology skills.
• Maintain an efficient helpdesk system for logging and resolving support requests.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Server Administration: Manage and maintain school servers.
• Monitor server performance and optimize as needed.
• Troubleshoot server-related issues.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments to understand their technology needs.
• Collaborate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Communicate effectively with school leadership regarding IT strategy and initiatives.
• Technology Planning:Contribute to the development of the schools technology plan.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and recommend upgrades or new solutions.

Requirements Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in an educational setting.
