We need engineers that can build out front-end forms and experiences in an open-source environment (currently the largest open-source effort within the federal government), we get over 10 million views monthlyYou will be working in a fully remote-based, agile organization focused on rapid iteration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Build react applications inside of a complex environment that interacts with multiple apis
Have ownership over your application while staying consistent within the overarching environment
Maintain a strong test harness for a ci/cd environment
Use design libraries to create standardized experiences
Create 508 compliant experiences.
Aid in designing the architecture of new experiences
Work with designers on creating modern, accessible interfaces
Provide engineering support for product owners; including road map creation, communication with other teams, and general engineering support
Communication and collaboration with pm for agile ceremonies

Qualification

Required skills and experience

A strong foundation of front-end development
Experience with a modern react/redux
Familiarity with semantic html
Familiarity with accessibility standards
Experience with css, sass, and using design systems
Strong git and github skills
Strong testing mentality, including unit and e2e to ensure product consistency
College/university degree, or post-secondary education/training equivalent to a
Bachelor`s degree ( or certifications, boot camp)
Familiarity with pulling and pushing data to rest apis
Strong remote working communication skills

Preferred skills and experience

Experience with cms skills, specifically metalsmith and drupal
Familiarity with ci/cd
Experience working in an agile environment
Has experience with all parts of the software life cycle
Worked on small cross-discipline teams
A love for documentation
