Coordinator, customer service & logistics – gic cam/car
Guatemala
Primary purpose of the position:
Accountable for the gic-la logistics operations, delivering upon established service level agreements and in accordance with company policies & commercial legislations in latin americaEnsure the timely delivery of goodyear tires to clients at the lowest cost possible.
Coordinate the logistics execution and order-to-cash management of direct shipment plans from the multiple goodyear sourcing locations around the world to the customers located in central america and the caribbean
Accountable for customer service staff, delivering outstanding value-added services to clients, according to customer segmentation.
Interact with demand/supply planning and sales teams for on-time delivery of product to end customers.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate the logistics execution of all planned shipments to customers in central america and caribbean from all goodyear’s global tire-producing sources.
Ensure the timely delivery of goodyear tires to clients at the lowest cost possible
Ensure that team completes import/export transactions according to company policies, procedures and countries applicable legislations
Works with the goodyear’s global procurement team for ocean freight contract and spot negotiationsMaintains an all-in cost estimates of delivery to customer destinations in central america and caribbean
Accountable for delivering outstanding value-added customer service to cluster clients, according to customer segmentation
Ensure that the customer service team has access to information regarding key accounts and is engaged in maintaining clients informed of order status
Accountable for the month closing tracking, ensuring proper order invoicing for all shipments within period
Perform customer service and logistics analytics to monitor and identify trends, risks and opportunities that affect organization goals and objectives
Drive continuous process improvement to streamline operational processes and automation in support of business growth, customer requirements & team goals and promote best practices that increases perceived customer satisfaction, optimize transportation routes and cost aligned with operational excellence (e.gLean and zero loss methodology).
Support import/export triangulation process between sources, gic and end customers
Elaborate various managerial reporting at global, regional and local levels as required; monitor, analyze and report kpis.
Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years of work experience in customer service and logistics within a global manufacturing industry.
Minimum of four (4) years working with order management and distribution/logistics processes, tools and systems (i.eSap/ sonda).
Experience with ocean and road freight forwarding to latin america are essential along with understanding 3pl providers & freight forwarders of minimum three (3) years.
Experience with trade regulations within the latin american region and import/export.
Education & certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration or related discipline.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Fluent in spanish and english.
Proficiency in ms office suiteAdvanced ms excel skills (pivot tables, sorts, simple macros)
Proficiency with an enterprise resource planning system.
Knowledge and management of specifics kpi`s, financial controls and processes for the area.
Knowledge of planning and project management concepts
Knowledge of conflict resolution concepts.
Ability to work with virtual teams in an international environment.
Knowledge of import and export of finish goods in south and central america and the caribbean.
