As a Staff Software Architect, you will be part of our Applied Intelligence platform team delivering core services and technologies that empower software teams across GE Healthcare to rapidly create and deliver artificial intelligence-enabled software solutions. Roles and Responsibilities :

In this role you will

• Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding.
• You will be architecting across multiple tracks and be responsible for incrementally building an evolving platform that proves over short and long terms for stability, scale and competitive advantage.
• Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal.
• Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment.
• Understand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module
• Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules
• Possess advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus.
• Expert in processes / methodologies and Skilled in build, release & deployment processes
• Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts
• This role also needs to apply operational rigor for continuous improvement of products to ensure Product quality & DevOps best practices.
• Responsible for multiple software projects as a project leader or internal consultant.
• Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with other Architects & Product Managers

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in Java development, REST based microservices development along with good hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java development.
• At least 2 years of architecting experience
• Hands-on experience on Docker, Kubernetes and cloud deployment techniques.
• Strong experience with SaaS and PaaS, Linux-based system skills with practical experience operating in a Cloud or virtualized environments
• Continuous Integration and Deployment experience using a wide variety of opensource technologies and Cloud services
• Proficient with the AWS stack of services including but not limited to compute (EC2, EKS,ECR, ECS, etc), Severless (Lambda), API Gateway, Database (RDS, DynamoDb etc), Machine Learning (SageMaker), Elastic Search, Management (CloudWatch, Autoscaling etc).

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

• Work with cross-functional (process, design, build, test) teams to support product development
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Familiarity with Deep Learning/Machine Learning concepts.
• Familiarity with QMS process.

• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
• Has an ability to define work break down structure of all deliverables and estimates them for sizing
• Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends
• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices

• Ability to navigate complex matrix organization structure & ability to create impact through influence
