GE Healthcare Digital is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Edison Platforms team delivering core services and technologies that empower customer to manage their fleet of devices. You will be responsible for the integration of the Fleet Management platforms developed by the team working very closely with them. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to quality engineering discussions.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
. Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
. Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 3-5 members. Guide and mentor them as and when required.
. Drive a consistent understanding of the system across the team and ensuring the required test cases are identified and implemented for the various releases
. Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
. Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
. Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
. Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
. Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
. Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
. Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
. Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products
. Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
. Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 7+ years of experience.
Desired Characteristics
. Min. 2 yrs of experience of leading a team for a cloud hosted solution
. Experience of Project management tools like Rally, Aha, HP ALM
. Experience of development/integration of cloud hosted platforms (AWS)
. Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
Technical Expertise
. Hands-on experience of developing platform solutions using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Docker, Microservices based architecture
. Hands-on experience of designing and documenting enterprise grade platforms using standards like UML, Use case diagrams, Sequence diagrams
. Hands-on experience of defining and developing automation tests using tools like Cucumber & Serenity following BDD
. Experience working on software projects in the Healthcare domain is an advantage
