Job summary

Oversees the center work assignments, records, document distribution and accounts maintenance; supervises the various positions that complete these assignmentsResponsible for all items assigned to collections, works to collect earned premium at the center level and then supervises outside c ollection vendors and attorney assignments; attends court hearings to represent farmers in legal proceedings regarding delinquent accounts.

Essential job functions

Ensures all official documents for the center are accounted for and maintained electronically and/or through paper files.
Ensures all policies are assembled accurately and completely and distributed according to state regulations.
Maintains all policy account records; monitors unapplied cash; performs operational audits and reconciles out of balances; oversees correspondence with the agency force, insured and other service centers to correct accounts.
Manages pursuit of uncollected earned premium items; establishes and maintains relationships with collection vendors and off-site file storage vendors and reports on their results; develops and negotiates earned premium settlements with debtors.
Oversees research and account reconciliations to provide legal representatives with factual summaries of customer accounts for use in litigations; attends court hearings to represent farmers in leg al proceedings regarding delinquent accounts.
Completes operations reports as assigned in the business center.
Performs other functions as assigned.

Physical actions

Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.gOthers speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
Will be remote with minimal travel requirement.

Education requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or three years of business insurance experienceInsurance industry designation achieved, or working towards general insurance (ins) or associate in management (am).

Experience requirements

Three years business insurance experience.
Consideration will be given to relevant equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special skill requirement

Technical expertise in commercial.
Knowledge of management information and business systems (word, excel, powerpoint, access).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated presentation skills.
Analytical thinking skills to make timely, appropriate decisions and recommendations after reviewing all relevant information.
