Role:
The individual will have primary day-to-day responsibility for increasing coverage in his/her state by working on building a network of partners for the distribution of fmcg products and commodities in semi-urban and rural areasThe individual is expected to build the sales team and structure and be responsible for revenues in his/her stateThe individual is expected to lead and manage a large distributed team that would be responsible for building a distribution network for supplying fmcg goods and commodities to retailers in semi-urban and rural spacesThe individual reporting to the regional sales head will be a part of the sales leadership team that will be responsible for building the sales and distribution network in respective regionsThis role would manage 4-6 sales executives and be responsible for 1-2 stations.
Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for achieving the revenue targets for the territoryThe incumbent will be responsible for 70% of sale job & 30% of operation jobs
Work with senior management in defining sales strategy and work on the execution plan based on the defined strategy.
Build, lead and manage the sales team for achievement of sales targets and reach as per the plan.
Build a network of partners to supply fmcg goods and commodities to retail stores in his/her state in both rural and semi-urban areas
Manage the performance of the sales team by assigning them periodic targets
Responsible for driving & achieving the performance metrics of warehouse operations and sales.
Responsible for achieving the cost parameter metrics for both warehousing, logistics, and salesforce
Develop and maintain key sales initiatives and programs, techniques to support the sales team in market coverage
Daily analysis of sales targets and operational metrics and creating actionable aimed toward continuous improvement
Plan & implement the alternate course of action in case of exigencies.
Enforce discipline in all aspects of nodal / station/ warehouse and sales operations
Responsible for identifying channel partners for warehouse set up in the assigned geography as per the company guidelines.
Responsible for smooth running of partner operations in the assigned geography.
Candidate profile:
People management
Strong communication skill
Minimum 5 years of experience in fmcg (general trade) or telecom (prepaid sales) experience
Skilled in handling sales and distribution operations
Good relationship management skills and ability to lead small to medium cross-functional teams
Ability to understand dynamics of supply chain and aptitude to learn software requirements
Related to the industry
Must have handled channel partners/distributors in the previous stint.
Territory knowledge is a must
Intermediate it skills (ms office, excel), experience in working on erps and database management tools
