Key responsibilities
Designs, develops and analyses mechanical structures, systems & equipment.
The engineering team member is responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the design, development and delivery new products processes and technologies.
The engineering team member will typically be part of an integrated product team (ipt) and will contribute to the performance of the ipt to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded.
The engineering team member shall employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality.
Application of discipline domain knowledge to the design, development and delivery of new products, processes and technologies on time, within budget and with required quality continued development of discipline competence and expertise
Application of, and compliance with, engineering processes and practices including the engineering framework,lcm and regulatory requirements identification of opportunities for improvement in discipline processes, practices and tools
Collaboration with ipt members to address project requirements
Collaboration with discipline peers within the bu and across the enterprise to share and learn best practice propose new technologies, materials and processes to maintain and grow our technology differentiations
Propose and develop new products
Contribute to business winning technical proposals
Applies standard engineering principles to well defined problems of basic complexity.

Works under the direction of more senior engineers to:
Provide technical expertise to support manufacturing, field support engineers, and customersInterface with procurement team and suppliers to solve problems and develop new sources for components.
Participate in integrated product development teams involving all aspects of the product life cycle.
Identify, design, prove-out and implement improvements to existing products.
Design products and product improvements in creo, or by working with designers using creo.
Develop test plans to verify models for component and product characteristicsInterface with customers as part of development-team programs.
Evaluate suitability of current products for new applications; work with team to develop bids and proposals for new, modified, or upgraded products.
Evaluate proposed engineering changes for technical feasibility and effect on unit performance and reliability.
Evaluate discrepant components in production or from vendors to determine usability or appropriate repair or rework.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor of science in engineering from an abet accredited program.
Must be authorized to work in the united states without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the international traffic in arms regulations (itar)All applicants must be u.sPersons within the meaning of itarItar defines a u.sPerson as a u.sCitizen, u.sPermanent resident (i.e`green card holder`), political asylee, or refugee.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
Experience with various manufacturing and assembly processes.
Experience with evaluating engineering changes for technical feasibility.
Internship experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineeringExperience with creo software.
Experience in writing test plans, procedures, and reports.
Experience with interpretation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, component drawings, and assembly drawings.
Demonstrated planning and organizing, customer focus and cross functional teamwork skills excellent written, persuasion and consensus building, listening and verbal communication skills
