The vice president, sales development will lead and set the strategy for our growing sales development organization which consists of outbound and inbound functionsYou will foster excellence, professionalism, and performance on your team and deliver results with the highest levels of integrityThe vp should be an innovative, strategic and influential leader with experience leading and motivating large teams to achieve their goalsThey will develop, train and hire highly driven and enthusiastic leaders and team membersWorking closely with d&b’s leadership, the vp of sales development will play a critical role in our growth strategy and must be a highly collaborative and experienced senior team member responsible for the scalable, predictable and repeatable process of creating sales pipeline, fostering valuable partnerships with our sales, marketing, and operations teamsYou will communicate with key stakeholders, identify trends, projections, and opportunities/challenges to drive strategic growth.
Essential key responsibilities:
Lead, develop and set the strategy for the sales development organization.
Build an agile, highly productive and engaged team, nurturing, and developing talent through strong and actively engaged leadership.
Train, coach, mentor team to ensure they are knowledgeable on solution portfolio, meeting kpis, managing pipeline properly and communicating/collaborating with the sales teams.
Analyze results and trends to make data driven decisions on the future strategy of the organization.
Manage sdr pipeline targets and full funnel activities monitoring, reporting and optimization.
Ability to strategically plan and execute to achieve both growth and efficiency for the overall sales organization.
Develop and implement sales strategies, departmental policies and processes.
Work closely with marketing, operations, sales leaders, and the people team to support sdr programs, help with messaging, workflow, etc.
Work closely with sales management teams to ensure a positive working relationship, continual communication, and maximizing the impact and effectiveness of sales development.
Keep up with industry trends, product knowledge and personas.
Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for process improvements with the aim of increased productivity and efficiency on the team.
Education:
4-year college degree required.
2+ years in software sales.
3+ years managing a large sales development team (multilayer) with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
5+ years in prospecting and outbound sales activities.
Proven track record of success, consistent track record of 100%+ of quota achievement as leader.
Experience managing and improving sales development kpis, regularly report on team/individual results.
Coach, manage and motivate a team of sales development leaders and reps.
Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency and productivity.
Strong ownership: displays a high degree of proactivity and accountability in their work and instills that mindset in their teams.
Strong ability to review and inspect data results, guide analysis where needed, and make data-driven decisions and strategy.
Sales training and salesforce.com experience a plus.
Ability to quickly adopt sales related technologies.
Ability to adapt to an analytical, research focused mentality and environment.
Natural leader, collaborator and team player – you’ll have the passion and ability to lead a team of people and be able to inspire your direct team and others around you.
Ready to tackle any challenge or problem that may come your way and be solutions oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english.
