About the role:

We`re looking for a merchandising & category management assistantThis entry level position will provide an incredible opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience in the growing business sector of the online retail industryThis position reports to the director of category management, and will provide direct support to the (small but mighty) category management and online retail merchandising teams!

As an assistant to the merchandising and cm teams, the job responsibilities will be fluid and grow with the positionWorking in a startup provides an opportunity to work with all levels of the organization and ensures constantly evolving and challenging responsibilities, without being siloed in one small area of a businessSome of the initial job responsibilities will include:

Updating and creating new skus
Manage product pricing and costs
Manage promotion pricing and calendar with marketing and site merchandising
Manage and communicate vendor pos
Work closely with accounting, site merchandising, marketing, supply planning, vendor operations, and product management teams to align all efforts and deliver results
Suport category management reporting
Streamline, standardize and automate processes to improve efficiency

About you:

Recent college graduate (or about to graduate) in the field of category management, retail merchandising, business, or marketing.
Willingness to learn from an industry leader
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Have a working knowledge of excel, including formulas, …
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently and be flexible with changing priorities
Ability to analyze and execute in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Proven ability to manage projects and drive results
Able to work 30-40 hours per week – pacific standard time (west coast preferred)
