As an energy engineering specialist at cti, you will join a team that leverages the company’s proprietary tax software to provide an accurate and efficient tax study with superior quality which maximizes business boosting benefitsOur roster of clients includes companies of all industries and sizes such as engineering, manufacturing, software, architecture, restaurants, wineries, and breweries.

What you will do:
Our energy engineering specialist will prepare documentation related to energy efficient building incentives (179d and 45l)This individual will run studies from start to finish and collect data, conduct client interviews, analyze large data sets, perform technical tax law research, and create final deliverables.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Perform energy efficiency analyses using doe approved building design and analysis software programs.
Conduct interviews with client personnel and conduct onsite visits as needed.
Request and review information / documentation needed to complete energy evaluations.
Review constructions drawings, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing specifications, field notes and photographs to complete efficiency evaluations.
Assist with quality assurance, engagement review and tax authority examination support.
Organize documentation to create final deliverables for clients.
What you will need:
Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in microsoft outlook, word, excel and powerpoint.
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize activities.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
Ability to provide excellent customer service, including a friendly attitude, empathy towards users, patience, attention to detail, good communication, sense of urgency, creativity, etc.
Willingness to change to meet organizational needs.
Ability to process and maintain confidentiality while processing sensitive data.
Work effectively with both internal and external customers.
Ability to recognize when an incident needs to be escalated.
Education and experience:
3-5 years 179d and 45l energy modeling experience required.
3-5 years energy modeling software experience required.
