Overview
The workday hris hcm lead is responsible for engaging and analyzing the business systems needs on a strategic and large cross-functional scale across the organization, with a concentration on workday as part of the cognizant hr modernization teamThe hr modernization team is responsible for inventing, improving, and deploying global business process tolls, technology, and programs in areas of human capital management, talent & performance, compensation absence, recruiting, workforce planning people analytics and adaptive insightsAs a critical member of the team, you will support the business process programs, including the design and implementation of the modules in workday and the continuous improvement and adoption of tools across the enterprise.
What you’ll do:
Serve as a supporting resource in the transition of the current hris system and operating model to workday
Provide innovative insights into ways to improve processes and programs on an organizational scale and streamline user experience
Ensure project success, including functional/technical requirements for completeness as well as influencing the future workday roadmap
Explore common assumptions, rethink existing configurations, and see ever challenge as an opportunity for system improvements
Develop on-going partnerships with our it, payroll and hr teams as well as outside consultants and vendors to ensure hr transactions, reporting and data meet the highest standards
Partner with technical counterparts on suggested/required integrations that support automation of data flows
Execute testing to meet business requirements – perform functional system testing, and obtain user acceptance testing sign-off from business leads
Ensure consistent process documentation throughout the workday implementation

Experience you bring:
Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of work experience
Five or more years of relevant work experience
Experiencing in supporting the maintenance, management and enhancement of workday tenant setup, business processes, security policies, routings, notifications, and complex conditions for human capital management, talent & performance, compensation absence, recruiting, workforce planning people analytics and adaptive insights
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with peoplesoft hcm with a focus on hr
Experience supporting end to end project activities including requirements gathering, project work plans, documentation, solution design, technical configuration, test development and related deployment activities in support of multiple work streams
Extensive understand of end-to-end functional business processes
Skills required:
Strong oral and written communications with excelling teamwork and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working with constant deadlines with the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze/synthesize data, understand trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendations for actions, experience with varied systems and project management reporting tools
Working knowledge of workday and cloud technologies
Ability to manage work performed by outsourced vendor both on and offshore
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Salary and other compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $125,000-$145,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of cognizant’s applicable plans.
