JD/ Responsibilities
– Expand business in existing accounts and open new opportunities in greenfield accounts
– Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
– Conduct Cold and relationship based sales meetings with prospects
– Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting client’s objectives
– Accurate forecasting of future business to support the successful delivery of all projects
– Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders especially the Senior Management Team in progressing opportunities
– Maintain and report sales pipeline to the company’s senior management.
– Achieve sales targets supporting the strategic plan for growth
– Curate and update case studies and corporate profile from time to time
– Build professional relationship with internal and external customers, ensuring sales opportunities are maximized and enhancing Cognitive’s reputation as an advisor of choice
– Plan, develop and oversee new marketing initiatives for lead generation
– Represent the firm in conferences, industry events and other relevant meetings
– Arrange physical business meetings with prospective clients anywhere in India
– Assist in developing quotes and proposals for clients in compliance with Cognitive policies
– Developing goals for the business development team and business growth and ensuring they are met
– Train personnel and help team members in business development initiatives
– Share knowledge, give constructive feedback and coaching/mentoring to other team members
– Understand the wider offerings of the firm and gain a good understanding of broader sector / client trends, issues, needs, and potential applicability / relevance to services offered by the group
Qualifications & Experience
– Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or similar role
– Team player with the ability to work within integrated, multidisciplinary project teams
– Strong drive and resilience to overcome challenges or setbacks to achieve your team/project/client goals
– Able to communicate clearly with impact that is open, honest and consistent
– Acts as role model for business development and lead generation
– Time management and planning skills
– Must dress professional and be responsive to client and internal stakeholder emails/phone requests on all business days
– Minimum of 3 years as a business development executive in a service industry
– MBA or equivalent degree is a must
