Cisco Looking for IT Manager – Technical Systems Engineering at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Full Time

Our organization is focused on accelerating digitization and transformation of Cisco enterprise applications by providing secure and resilient Workload Automation, Workflow Automation, and Software application development on hybrid cloud platforms.

The IT Engineering Manager will help us scale our service offerings and applications and lead 5-10 engineers located in India.

• Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation and management of 3rd party software and databases.
• Ensures infrastructure architecture standards improve efficiency and support platform compatibility.
• Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Drives the integration of 3rd-party platforms/products into IT services.
• Collaborates across teams and functions to ensure alignment of work and removes roadblocks.
• Applies agile principles to ensure quality and performance standards.

Who You’ll Work With

As part of the IT leadership team, you will manage a team of Technical Systems Engineers and Software Engineers focused on building enterprise-class applications and leverage best-in-class automation tools. The team consists of motivated individuals who strive to creating intuitive software applications and automate IT and business process using the latest tools and techniques. You will work alongside other IT leaders in and outside the organization who are playing a key role in Cisco IT’s transformation progress.

Who You Are

We’re seeking an experienced individual with management experience in Information Technology, Product Development, or Software Engineering.

Requirements:

• Experienced people leader with technical experience in one or more automation tools (enterprise job scheduling, workflow automation), and full-stack software development.
• 8+ years professional experience leading large programs, including software development, platform/infrastructure support, and operations teams.
• 4+ years proven track record using agile methodologies in large-scale projects applying scrum principles and practices for product management and IT operations management.
• Consistent track record of building motivated, and productive teams, including remote team members.
• Detailed understanding of enterprise software development and/or infrastructure processes and lifecycle, ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a fast-paced multi-functional environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under tight turnaround time while being flexible and responding to changing business and technical requirements.
• One or more related certifications for agile methodologies is preferred.
• Must be a standout colleague and work efficiently in small and large group environments.
• Possess excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field + 8 years of IT or Engineering experience, or
• Master’s degree in related field + 6 years of related experience, and
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience is required.
• Technical understanding and experience working in software development, software platforms and systems administration, cloud technologies, and secure computing practices.
• Architectural understanding and exposure working on premise and cloud technologies.
