Job description: centerstone of america, incIs looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organizationThe senior accountant`s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations and tax returns, and performing other accounting duties as assignedTo be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (gaap) and strong financial analysis skillsThe senior accountant should also possess strong excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independentlyEssential duties and responsibilities:
Assist with all aspects of the month/quarter/year end closing process for the consolidated financials; including preparing journal entries, reviewing financials, and providing variance explanations as needed.
Perform monthly reconciliations of corporate balance sheet accounts and propose adjusting journal entries as needed.
Assist in reconciling intercompany accounts and running intercompany settlement for multiple companies.
Manage day-to-day treasury operations (including banking relationships, cash management, and forecasting).
Prepare financial analyses and reports.
Analyze complex financial reports and records and make recommendations based on analysis.
Assist in preparing shared services annual budgets and monthly budget vsActual analysis.
Participate in external audits and tax returns and investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
Advise best practices and optimizations throughout accounting processes.
Collaborate with finance personnel to develop approaches for creating more-accurate financial records and models for the company.
Perform other accounting duties as required or assigned.
Job skills & qualifications: preferred:
Cpa license
Experience working in the erp system, workday
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
3-5 years of related accounting experience
Working knowledge of gaap and tax laws
Proficiency in microsoft office, particularly with excel
Experience working with intercompany transactions
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Time management and organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
