Managing all finance and accounting operations coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances preparing and publishing timely monthly and quarterly financial statements the role holder is responsible for managing and overseeing all financial reporting, controllership, internal controls, coordinating audits (internal & external) and regulatory compliance apart from performing financial analysis to maximize shareholders’ return and ensuring compliance from an accounting & tax perspective primarily responsible for the accounting operations of the entity including preparation of periodic financial statements/ reports, ensuring that reported financials are fair and accurate he/ she is responsible for timely closure of all audits, internal or external and ensures timely filing of all statutory reports the controller is also responsible for assessing the risk and control environment across processes at regular intervals, ensuring a comprehensive set of controls are in place to mitigate risk and they are followed through the controller ensures streamlining of various policies, procedures, and controls and ensure they are aligned with the larger corporate/ other entitiesExceptions, if any, are to be kept minimal the controller manages and oversees all compliances like secretarial, taxation etcBe the cost-optimization champion for the organization – formulate strategy for cost consciousness and cost optimization across the organization to enhance cost efficiency coordinate financial and legal diligence for all funding requirements develop, review and closely track detailed business plan including financial and operational metricsAct as a central point and facilitator for all financial reporting reports complete, correct, relevant and insightful financial information to investors and operations and to shareholders preparation of standalone and consolidated balance sheet, p & l, and other financial statements, in line with the latest accounting standards oversee company cash flows and strategize to maximize the free cash flow and optimize supplier management and working-capital management for the organization establish processes for prevention and detection of fraud and escalate if required budgeting and mis reporting ensuring compliance to companies act, 2013, income tax act, 1961, goods and services tax and other timely department assessment and filings from direct and indirect tax perspective review all agreements and mous and appraise the management about any financial liability, prior to commitments made and signatures by authorized signatories review customer contracts towards commercial and taxation and assist sales team in negotiation of such terms interacts at all levels and with stakeholders to produce a timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through the annual report solve for working with tds / gst departments audit process ownership and control fund raise cycles and owning the full due diligence process

Must have skills :

Education : ca, preferably first attempt
Experience : 8 yrs to 10 yrs; with minimum 2+ years in f&a controllership roles
Solve for working with tds / gst departments
Audit process ownership and control
Understanding of ecommerce
Fund raise cycles and owning the full due diligence process
Deep understanding of compliances and building the culture to manage compliances
Should be able to explain how they are ensuring

Tds gst fraud and money controls

Able to build and manage teams

How would they build and structure finance team? how to provide the right learning and development for team members

Manage all investor communication related to mis, finance and associated reporting
Ability to think of more complex issues eg

Setting up new companies for new businesses we start – compliances, most optimal way etc having international subsidiaries eg we have a singapore companyAbility to deal with consultants there and take logical decisions some experience of having worked with uk companies is a plus, since we have a uk based holding company experience in bringing fdi money into india – compliances etc taking advice from experts on matters related to taxation, optimization of taxation we pay input on tax related matters of employees – how to set it up better as a company input on other hr related finance and tax matters
