The integrated innovation institute (iii) within carnegie mellon university is searching for a motivated, organized, and analytics-obsessed digital marketing specialist to manage and grow our digital advertising channelsThe ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies and platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively on multi-channel campaigns to deliver quality leads and generate a pipeline for our admissions & recruiting team.

Teamwork and collaboration with the marketing team and other iii staff & faculty (pittsburgh & silicon valley) is critical for support in this roleYou will work with iii team (admissions, alumni, student services, and operations) to support needs throughout the yearIf project or opportunity for the iii arises, the marketing team may be asked to reprioritize content focus areas to support efforts for the iii overall.

Core responsibilities will include:

Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of internal staff & external agency partners

Work closely with the iii’s agency partner to manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns (facebook family, linkedin, sem, etc.)

Perform keyword research to advise google search campaign and organic content strategy

Regularly monitor, analyze, and a/b test in order to continuously improve performance

Interpret and report on campaign data and kpis weekly and monthly to see opportunities to influence future campaigns

Develop and share useful analytics, strategic insights, and data-driven reports

You must demonstrate:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications and marketing
At least 3 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and/or communications
Experience setting up and handling social media advertising and/or google advertising campaigns
Experience working with agency partners
Deep understanding of a/b testing, custom audiences, lead generation, the conversion funnel, and data management
Experience in segmenting target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and empower
Understand how to interpret real-time performance insights, determine winning strategies, and optimize media campaigns by using data, metrics, and creative thinking
Demonstrable experience running seo/sem, social media and/or pcp/display advertising campaigns
Solid understanding of website analytics tools (e.g., google analytics)
Experience working in higher education preferred
