We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, (Supervisory), Fund/Client Accounting Representative I to join our Fund/Client Accounting team. This role is located in Pune, MH – HYBRID.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways.
As an Associate in the NAV Operations team, you will report to the Vice President/ Senior Vice President of Fund Accounting. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain accounting books and records for specific groups of Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Separate Accounts, Commingled Trusts, and Limited Partnership entities in line with departmental policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Your role is critical in ensuring that client deliverables are consistently met.
Accounting and Reconciliation: Perform cash and asset reconciliation, research, and exception clearing. Execute transaction processing, income and expense-related activities, and handle research and clearing tasks.
NAV Generation: Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly NAV generation processes. Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports.
Exception Handling: Clear exceptions effectively and identify and communicate issues that may impact the accuracy of account records.
Client Interaction: Engage with clients to address inquiries as directed. Escalate issues that may affect account record accuracy or lead to customer service concerns.
Complex Matters:
Collaborate with the Lead Analyst/Manager on complex accounts or matters, including those involving derivative securities, troubleshooting, or temporary oversight duties.
Control Enhancement: Ensure the implementation of preventative and detective controls for business functions. Provide recommendations to strengthen control weaknesses.
Support Team: Assist analysts in processing and inputting work during high-demand periods and with complex concepts and processing procedures.
Reporting and Communication: Regularly update management on fund activities and other fund-related issues. Set standards for the team’s report output and coordinate the review and sharing of reports with accounting teams.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and enhance team efficiency.
Supervision: Provide supervision for a small Fund/Client Accounting team. Be responsible for specific supervisory review and approval actions.
Technology platforms:
Eagle/Invest One, Workbench, TLM, Prime broker websites, Bloomberg, Business Objects, Client Inquiry etc.

Month End Adjusted TB’s / ROCSOP Adjustments
Internal / External Audits
Client Communication for tasks in scope

Fund Events
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
3-4 years core fund accounting experience. 5-7 years of total work experience preferred; experience in accounting support preferred.
