Apollo Looking for Staff Product Manager – Identity and Access Management at Remote , Remote Full Time
As the PM for Identities and Access Management (IAM) at Apollo, you will shape the future of Apollo’s product experience. With your impact, we will help app developers help the world.
Our GraphQL developer tooling is downloaded more than 17M times per month and used in production by over 30% of the Fortune 500 as well as at companies such as Netflix, Walmart, Expedia, Peloton, DoorDash, The New York Times, and Zillow. GraphQL is transforming the software development space, helping engineering teams ship faster and build richer experiences than ever before. Gartner estimates that by 2025, 50% of companies will be using GraphQL and we’re the clear market leader in this emerging, billion-dollar market.

Join an organization of ~200 people going through rapid expansion and growth with IPO expectations
Develop and drive the roadmap for a team of excellent engineers and designers in a critical area of our platform
Influence the future of software development
What you’ll do
- Shape Apollo’s strategy for identities and access management – we’re looking for vision as well as execution
- Ship work with a team of world-class engineers and designers related to identities and access management – graphQL is a new frontier and how to secure it and provide access is a critical component to our long-term strategy
- Partner with other Product Managers
- Navigate engaging directly with key stakeholders, internal and external, including frequent direct conversations with customers, participation in online channels with users, secondary market research, and regular briefings to our marketing, support, solutions, and sales teams.
Who you are
- A desire to shape and lead major initiatives in a dynamic market and a fast-growing organization
- Deep empathy for the humans that use or are impacted by your product.
- A history of shipping well-prioritized initiatives as finished software with demonstrable success.
- A drive to communicate directly with customers and internal stakeholders to make sure you have a good sense of everyone’s interests in your product.
- Bonus points if you have a history at high-growth startups
- You may not be intimately familiar with the GraphQL ecosystem yet but you should find GraphQL, web development, and developer tooling interesting
This position can be done anywhere within US time zones.
