Tasks and responsibilities:
Customer relationship management and building.
Interaction with government departments / power utilities, private power organisations (IPPs) in the state.
Managing existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities. Responsible for generation of enquiries and support in submitting techno-commercial offers.
The incumbent will drive business growth and explore growth opportunities by developing new customers & retaining existing customers. Results are to be achieved by following upwith sales opportunities within the portfolio of services.
He shall map all hydropower stations in North India and develop a database of own fleet and other projects. Additionally, working with all customers by visiting hydro power stations to propose solutions that are compliant to their needs and standards, and that which provide commercial and technical advantages. He should have experience in product positioning which will be an added advantage.
He will identify, document and communicate the customer’s requirements with concerned team members and provide support to the Service Sales team for budgetary proposals and studies during pre-sales development.
He will perform competitor and industry benchmarking and relative cost/price positioning analysis.
Develop strategic pricing & promotions in response to market trends and consumer requirements. Recommend measures to improve offers in order to achieve a competitive advantage.
Defining, gathering, analyzing, and reporting information about competitors, products, customers and any aspect of the business needed to support Service and Rehabilitation in making strategic decisions.
He will prepare quarterly forecasts for assigned products offering while identifying and maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline using the appropriate commercial reporting tool.
Maintain database for RFQ and bid submissions, prepare systematic Won/Lost bid analysis and maintain order bookings.
Build external and internal customer satisfaction through outstanding service, relationships and communications. The candidate will additionally provide support to the project execution team.
Keep track of market conditions, environment and report the same to Market Management Division.
Marketing activities (presentations, business development, marketing penetration, relationship management, participating in important fares) for HYDRO projects & technologies.
Education and skills:
B.E. / B. Tech. (Mechanical / Electrical) degree is a must.
M.B.A (Marketing) will be an added advantage.
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Has a knack to build strong customer relationships, facilitate collaborations and engage with the team in collaborative problem solving.
A clear understanding of the Indian market specifically related to the hydropower sector.
Knowledge of the market, clients, competitors, suppliers and approval processes is essential.
Must be willing to travel domestically in the assigned territory.

The incumbent shall be working as a part of Market Management and Business Development team and functionally reporting to the Service and Rehabilitation. He will demonstrate accountability of functional, business, and broad company objectives.

Fluent in business English (written and verbal)
Fluent in local languages would be an advantage (Kashmiri, Dogri, Punjabi, others)
