Your role
We are currently looking for proven, hands-on Mechanical Engine Rooms (ER) for our Pioneering Spirit vessel. As a Mechanical ER you report directly to the Second Engineer and are responsible for watch keeping duties, and the effective and timely completion of maintenance and repair activities on deck and in the engine rooms.
Perform independent watch keeping duties
Execute maintenance and repairs on equipment as delegated by supervisor
Act as per standing instructions
Report to Second Engineer and First Engineer
What we expect from you
A valid certificate of competency for officers in charge of an engineering watch, no limitations or equivalent
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Minimum 3 years’ experience in vessel engine rooms or similar environments
