Purpose of the Position

Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on maintenance practices, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
Implement and manage continuous improvement by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
Principle Accountabilities

For TG, Aux, CPU, SWAS, heaters, HVAC area:
Reduce maintenance downtime by 85% by implementing a preventative maintenance program, giving ownership and accountability to the field engineers.
Manage departmental budget, initiate capital expenditure request and maintain accurate inventory levels for all necessary spare parts and equipment.
Perform root cause analysis to identify and implement preventative measures which allowed for improved scheduling of downtime and reduced unplanned outages.
Collaborate with plant management to improve employee safety, maintenance quality, equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
Focus on cost savings and process improvements, Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
Manage, coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
Provide feedback through frequent conversations and performance reviews to direct reports on positive performance and on improvements needed.
Support to all plant operations, developed schedules, coordinated work, developed and executed policies and procedures.(DISHA,CHETNA,IMS,OHSAS)
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Role & Responsibilities
For TG, Aux, CPU, SWAS, heaters, HVAC area:
Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works.
Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management.
Prepare the annual Maintenance budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals. Manage the budget from identification to completion of the any planned/unplanned jobs.
Maintain timely compliances for HSE, IMS, and DISHA action points/observations.
Ensure 100 % availability of all the critical equipment’s.
Develop Indigenous Spares of Equipment’s to minimise the cost of maintenance.
Contractor management.
Ensure improvement in availability of Critical equipment’s.
Inventory control of Mechanical spares.
Replacement of Chinese spares with indigenous spares.
Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.
Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.
Co-ordination with commercial dept. & all dept. HODs for procurement of spares.
Co-coordination with operation & maintenance team for annual overhauling of all UNITs and Condition based monitoring of all equipment’s as per schedule.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities

Essential Qualification: BE / B.TECH (Mech) WITH 12+ YRS EXP
Desired Qualification: ME/M.Tech in MECH.
