What is a day in the life of this role?

Work on a team of talented engineers who like to solve problems, design great experience solutions, ship software, and make customers raving fans
Participate in scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospectives.

What are you responsible and accountable for?

Review requirements, specifications and technical design document to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Perform manual testing.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
Able to deliver stories based on your estimates.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects.
Adhere to pci/soc and other security requirements in accordance with standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Bs or ms in computer science, engineering, equivalent technical degree, or experience
3-8 years of professional software automation/development experience
In-depth knowledge and experience with software testing and automated test techniques with a strong focus on quality throughout the entire software development cycle
Knowledge and experience writing custom test automation scripts and frameworks, in java, javascript or c/c++
Knowledge using backend test automation frameworks from junit and nunit such as testng
Knowledge using frontend test automation frameworks such as selenium webdriver, to test responsive web applications
Integrating automated tests into continuous integration pipelines using tools such as jenkins or hudson.
Restful api web service execution and validation using tools such as postman or soap
Load testing apis and applications using tools such as jmeter or loadui

Work environment:

Quiet to moderate noise level
Fast paced environment
Employee may be required to furnish mobile services and devices necessary to receive business communications on a continual basis; including voice, text, email and ability to connect to abc’s enterprise email server.
