The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure, as well as providing top-notch customer support to our employees. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Set up Windows and Apple laptops and Desktops. Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and software applications. Configure operating systems, user profiles, and security settings. Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues. Diagnose and resolve technical problems reported by end-users promptly. Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and peripherals. Offer friendly and effective technical support to end-users via Teams, phone or email. Assist employees with account setup, password resets, and access permissions. Train and educate users on basic software and hardware usage. System Maintenance Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, patches, and backups. Monitor network performance and security to identify and address issues proactively. Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets and equipment. Documentation & Tracking Keep track of hardware inventory and maintenance schedules Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of IT assets, repairs, and software licenses. Track incoming and outgoing courier shipments related to IT equipment. Maintain a record of courier information and update stakeholders on delivery status. Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues. Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and support agreements. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support or a related role. Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and solve technical problems. Familiarity with network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware components. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
